Description of job shadowing:
Calling all students interested in pursuing a medical career! Join us for the morning as we delve into the world of medicine and plastic surgery. Explore our practice, including key areas such as the exam room, lab, and minor OR. Participate in a Q&A session led by Dr. Stephanie Teotia and her team. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions regarding the path to becoming a doctor, navigating college applications, and the day-to-day responsibilities of a plastic surgeon. We will discuss the challenges and motivations for pursuing a medical career and explore diverse roles within Dr. Teotia’s team. Following the discussion, we will separate into small groups to learn about various facets of the job. Dr. Teotia will lead a small group, offering hands-on instruction on the basics of suturing. Please note that, per HIPAA regulations, students will not observe patient interactions.
