Description of job shadowing:
Students will spend time with the LISD Technology Data Center, Cyber Security, and Network teams. They will get to tour the LISD data center and MDF/IDF network closets. They will see the tools the engineers use on a daily basis to perform their work and will experience what it takes to run and secure a large, complex network. Students will learn about various areas in the IT field including: Cyber Security, Data Center, Storage/Backup, Network Infrastructure, Wireless, and Collaboration. Students will also learn about the certifications and experience that are needed to be successful in this field.
