A heartwarming story of a young boy with serious learning disabilities (severe dyslexia) who overcomes life's obstacles with truth, honor and grace. Mason is a big boy who can't read and is not very street smart. His best friend dies just before the beginning of the story and at the end how he died is revealed. During the story you meet many characters - some bullies, a mean police officer trying to solve the murder of his best friend, a new best friend, family, and a quirky school social worker. Mason also befriends a dog that helps change his life.
