The children in year 3 are working in groups as a team to create a tree from the book ‘In our hands’. They have been learning this book in English and have enjoyed every lesson. This activity is child led and they have a variety of materials that they have chosen to use to make their end project.
The children are peer marking their letters that they have written in English. They had to write a letter of encouragement to the little girl in the book called 'In our hands’. They used one book at a time, one person would be reading their work and the other person would be editing.
In year 3 they are learning gymnastics, they are taking it in turns to be leaders to each other. They are all engaged within the lesson, using their listening and looking skills.
Ayan is enjoying himself in Gymnastics alongside his peers. He was able to stretch and follow instructions.
In Art we have been designing and making Pencil Cases. We have enjoyed our music lessons this term too, writing music patterns.
Year 4
In our English lessons we worked together to plan and create our own tree inspired by the book ‘In our hands’.
We planned and created our tree using resources such as cardboard, pipe cleaners, tissue paper, sugar paper, glue and scissors.
It was a great opportunity to work as a team, to be creative and to have fun!
In Science we have been learning about how sounds move inside the ear, investigating how sound moves using tuning forks and high/low pitches using plastic boxes and different elastic bands.
In Religion we have been reading the story of Abraham and we have been talking about virtues. To better understand the virtue of trust, we had a go at trust falls with our classmates.
We have also been practising spontaneous prayers and we enjoyed writing our own prayers for homework, here are some examples.
