Pre-school
All of our pre-schoolers have now started with us. They have all completed their settling days and they are getting used to their new routines. The children have become more confident in leaving their parents, they have explored their new setting both inside and outside and they have had a visit to the soft play room too. The children loved their first music lesson.
Nursery
During mission week, the nursery children learnt about how much Jesus loved them!
Children adored the Blessed Sacrament, they prayed to Jesus and thanked him for their families.
Children painted the Blessed Sacrament in class afterwards. They were very excited to paint Jesus and said “Jesus is King” “I love Jesus”.
We also read Noah’s ark and painted the animals and rainbows to show God’s promise. Children loved to sing ‘the animals went in 2 by 2 hurrah !’
Children also explored God’s wonderful world. They played with the penguins and snow in Antarctica and made a snowstorm!
Nursery Parents Save the Dates - come along to our Stay & Play Sessions this term on 17th Oct & 12th Dec. More details will be sent nearer the time! We hope you can join us!
Reception
Learning in the Early Years is so much fun! We call it playing, our Teachers call it learning through play. We learn new things, then we take those concepts and embed them independently both inside and out. The good thing is, we are surrounded by our friends and get to challenge ourselves.
We’ve been working hard; from making playdough cupcakes whilst singing a song we learnt in music, to practicing our letter formation, making lizards (which Miss thought looked like a Squirrel) and knowing that Jesus loves us and has the whole world in his hands.
WOW! We really enjoyed reading Mr Gumpy’s Outing. We learnt who the Author and Illustrator was; who the characters were, we acted in role as the characters, had fun with a ‘floating and sinking’ experiment and the best part…..we made biscuits in the shape of our favourite character from the story.
