Year 3 pupils used pretend money to support their understanding of mathematical concepts in a practical and engaging way. Through hands-on activities, the children developed their skills in recognising coins and notes, adding amounts, giving change, and solving real-life money problems. Using concrete resources helped to build confidence and deepen their understanding by making maths meaningful and relatable to everyday experiences.
