All students will be screened before entering campus. Temperature checks will be done by staff members every morning in the car drop off lane while parents wait for us to verify the temperature.
SST-Discovery will institute more frequent cleaning practices including:
Frequent hand washing breaks.
Frequent cleaning by janitorial staff in high traffic areas.
Provide students the opportunity to clean their own spaces before and after they are used, in ways that are safe and developmentally appropriate.
Assigned Restroom for student groups.
Students will be able to refill their water bottle using our new touchless water dispensers.
Hand sanitizer stations have been installed throughout the campus.
Face shields will be provided as additional safety measure.
Each classroom has been provided with safe disinfectant spray to clean work areas.
If anyone develops symptoms during the school day that person will immediately be separated from others and assessed by the medical aide.
If a student has a temperature less than 100.0 degrees they will return to class. If student has a temperature higher than 100.0 degrees parents will be notified and student must be picked up immediately.
Student will be placed in an supervised isolation room and provided a clean mask, face shield and gloves.
Students and staff who are part of that class will be moved to a different classroom so the current classroom can be sanitized according to CDC guidelines.
Clear signs will be posted outside the rooms to make sure students and staff do not enter until room is properly cleaned.
