Q- How do parents choose to return to onsite learning?
A- The district will share specific dates for parents to change to onsite learning. The first deadline was Friday, September 11th and we will soon share the date for the next window. Parents must fill out the formal request in Skyward by the deadline in order to reserve a seat for their student. If a parent misses the deadline, their child will need to remain virtual learning until the next window opens.
Q- How do parents switch back to online learning from onsite learning?
A- A parent can choose to switch back to online learning at any time but must remain online until the next window opens up. You will not be able to switch on and off within a week. You must choose one or the other during the window and wait until the next deadline to make a change.
Q- Will students move around the building?
A- Classes will remain in one classroom for meals and learning. We will be enforcing our district's Phase 1 safety plan until it is safe for students and staff to move around the building freely. Students who are onsite will be assigned to one room and 2-3 staff members to support their learning while we are in phase 1 of our safety plan. Students will continue to receive virtual instruction from teachers who are not assigned to their phase 1 room. Students who are onsite will be given outside breaks for recess and fresh air.
Q- Can parents visit campus and volunteer?
A- Visitation will be limited to essential visitors who have previously scheduled appointments. Front Office hours for parents will be from 7:30 am- 4:00 pm. We will not allow parents into the building to see front office outside of 7:30 am-4:00pm to ensure we are focused on a the health and safety of our staff and students during morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal. We ask parents to call the front office to schedule an appointment before arriving on campus. The lobby will be closed unless there is a appointment with the office or administrator. Anytime a parent enters our building, a mask must be worn over your mouth and nose.
Q- What if a parent wants to pick up a student early?
A- While we want our students in school for the entire we understand there are times you must pick up your child early for appointments or emergencies. When picking up a student early from campus, we ask that only one parent come into the campus at a time. After the student has been signed out the parent must wait in their car or outside the building. Front office lobbies are not currently open to visitors. To ensure we are prepared for a safe and healthy dismissal, parents will not be able to check out students after 2:30 pm.
Q- Are all students required to wear masks?
A- Yes, all students and staff will be required to wear a mask. We ask that each student have an extra masks in their backpack. SST Northwest will provide students with a face shield to wear during meals, water breaks, and outside time.
Q- Are students required to wear a uniform.

Q- What supplies should students take for onsite learning?
A- Students should ensure they bring their device, charger, headphones, and water bottle every day. Specific information on supplies we are asking for onsite learners, please see our supply list here. Students will keep supplies in their backpacks.
Q- What time is morning drop off?
A- The school staff will begin taking temperatures and admitting students into the building at 7:15 am. for K-8th. Prek doors will open at 7:30 am daily.
Tardy Bell= 7:50 am (Parents will have to park and walk student to the lobby doors at this time. Pre-k doors will close at 7:45 am.
Q- What time is afternoon pick up/dismissal?
Pre-K Dismissal = 3:00 pm
K-8th= 3:20 pm (At 3:50 pm, parents will need to park and sign out students through the lobby for late pick up.)
Q- What is the latest time a student will be able to receive breakfast?
A- In order for the student to receive breakfast, the student should be in the classroom by 7:50 am.
Q- Will parents be allowed to bring their child food during their lunch time? No. No outside food will be allowed to be dropped off or will be accepting food deliveries during the students lunch hours. Students must arrive with their packed lunch upon arrival to the school.
Q- When can parents pick up purchased Uniform Shirts? Purchased uniform shirts will be sent with students or you will need to call the front office and schedule a pick up time between the hours of 9:00 am - 2:30 pm.
Q- Will students be able to have recess and fresh air breaks?
A- Yes, all classes will have scheduled times and designated areas outside for students to get fresh air and be active while social distancing.
