Engineering Project
If you are doing an Engineering Project, then you need to look into this link:

Instead of the Hypothesis, Independent and Dependent variables, you will have to consider:
(a) Problem Statement
(b) Engineering Goals / Specific Requirements
(c) Expected outcomes
The Research Plan/Project Summary should include the following:
1a. RATIONALE: Include a brief synopsis of the background that supports your research problem and explain why this research is important and if applicable, explain any societal impact of your research.
1b. PROBLEM STATEMENT(S), ENGINEERING GOAL(S), EXPECTED OUTCOMES:
Your statements must be based on the rationale described above?
2a. METHOD
2a. Equipment list
2b. Diagrams
2c. Procedure:
2d. Data Analysis: Describe the procedures you will use to analyze the data/results.
3. REFERENCES: List major references (e.g. science journal articles, books, internet sites) from your literature review. If you plan to use vertebrate animals, one of these references must be an animal care reference.
4. BIBLIOGRAPHY: List major references (e.g. science journal articles, books, internet sites) from your literature review. If you plan to use vertebrate animals, one of these references must be an animal care reference.
5. RISK AND SAFETY: Identify any potential risks and safety precautions needed.
