Positive school climate has been linked to several important outcomes including increased student self-esteem and self-concept, decreased absenteeism, risk prevention, reduced behavioral problems, and school completion (Cohen, McCabe, Michelli, & Pickeral, 2009; Lindstrom Johnson, Pas, & Bradshaw, 2015).
