Dougherty Valley HS Wellness Center
Welcome Wildcats!
Open: 8:35 - 3:00
The DVHS wellness center was created to provide a safe, calm space to support emotional management and promote mental health awareness. Students are encouraged to identify their strengths, social-emotional needs, and build resilience to support their overall well-being for a healthy well-balanced high school experience.
What is a Wellness Center?
Wellness centers on high school campuses provide increased early interventions for students experiencing social-emotional or mental health challenges that may affect their classroom learning ability. Students can participate in various services, including short "reset breaks," mental health counseling, support groups, community resources, self-efficacy skills, self-care supplies, and more. Wellness services provided to students are free and confidential.
The Wellness Center provides culturally competent services in a confidential, nonjudgemental space with professionals dedicated to improving all students' health, well-being, and educational outcomes.
Anyone can refer a student to the Wellness Center by contacting the student's counselor or the wellness center coordinator directly via email or our online referral form.
Students seeking support are welcome to drop in to request services.
Students can also request to meet with a peer mentor.
