Peer Advocates 1 is a 1-year elective that empowers 10th-12th graders to become positive change agents within our school. This program can be a valuable pathway for students interested in pursuing careers in education, mental health, or social work. Through interactive training, students will develop essential skills such as effective communication, conflict resolution, and mental wellness.
Peer Advocates II builds upon this foundation with advanced training, preparing students for leadership roles within the program and beyond. Our mission is to foster a safe and inclusive campus culture where all students feel supported and empowered to thrive. Peer Counselors (the trained students) will learn the most effective ways to assist their peers with struggles or questions they may have about the emotional ups and downs of life as a teen. Counselors will be available during the school day to work with their peers individually or in group sessions.
