We are all SPecial

I am excited to announce that each child will have a chance to be Head Camper of the Week! This is a wonderful way to build self esteem and work on communication skills.

He/she will come home with a poster project two weeks before the scheduled Head Camper Week. To complete the poster, help your child fill in the blanks, glue to colored paper, draw pictures, add photos, and color. Additionly, you may send in photos, and other memorabilia to hang on the Head Camper Student wall with the poster (certificates, ribbons) All items will be returned on Friday.

Remember, spelling is not as important as hearing the correct sounds. I would like you to allow your child to do most of the work on his or her own. Please help your child be prepared to share the following week.

Monday:

Student will share All About Me Poster.

Tuesday:

Student may bring in an item to share that tells something about their interests or hobbies. Please NO TOYS!

Wednesday:

Super Guest Reader at 11:30am. Parent or other family member comes to read a story (simple children's picture book) to the class at the end of the day. (We love older siblings!)

Thursday:

Please bring in a collection of 50-100 small objects in a Ziploc bag for estimation. We will guess how many there are and count the items together. (Example: playing cards, gems, Legos, crayons etc...) Please NO FOOD

Friday:

Student may choose any item to bring for mystery bag. The item must fit in a brown paper bag and the student should think of 3-5 clues to give the class to help them guess the item. (Please write the clues and attach it to the bag).
