This is an exciting time in your child’s life and I am looking forward to working with you as we help your child learn and grow. Kindergarten teachers works together as a team planning, preparing, and teaching the curriculum. Students will have the opportunity to work with all of our Kindergarten teachers at various activities throughout the year.

My goal is that students will have a pleasant, successful first experience in school and gain a good foundation for learning in the grades to come. I want them to feel positive about learning and proud of their accomplishments. I stress the importance of listening and following directions. I want each child to do their best but also to understand that they don’t have to be perfect. We all learn from our mistakes! I set our goals high, but try not to push children to do skills before they are developmentally ready. I begin with simple, familiar concepts and gradually move to more complex ones such as writing and reading.
