Course Description:  Concert Band is a performance ensemble for the new and developing band student.  Students in the concert band will study, practice, and perform a wide variety of musical literature, with an emphasis on developing the musical skills necessary for promotion to the Symphonic Band. This includes: tone production, technical facility, and musical notation reading skills. The Concert Band performs frequently throughout the year at school, community, and festival events.  Attendance at all performances is mandatory. The Concert Band is recognized as a college preparatory course by the University of California.

Concert Band rehearses during 4th Period Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
