Counselling Services

Walk-in Clinic for children, youth and their caregiver seeking mental health or substance use concerns.

This service offers a 50-minute, solution-focused, single therapy session on a first-come, first-serve basis with a focus on exploring specific issues and possible solutions. Parent / Caregiver attendance is preferred to support the child / youth. Families can call ahead to determine wait times.

Emergency Counselling Services:

If you or someone you know is in crisis and needs help, resources are available. In case of an emergency, please call 911 for immediate help.

If you are in need of support, you can call the Health Link at 811 or the Mental Health Help Line at 1-877-303-2642, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Additionally, you can access a complete list of Mental Health resources at https://www.albertahealthservices.ca/amh/Page16759.aspx

About SAiF's Programs & Services

We provide services to those who have experienced and/or witnessed family violence and abuse. We do not discriminate based on gender, race, orientation, income or disability. We do our best to accommodate all those in our service area who come seeking support, advocacy, and/or education. 

​Please note, our intakes are not conducted everyday. When you call or email us, we schedule a 20 minute pre-screen over the phone with one of our clinical team. That may be followed by a 1 hour in person intake (scheduled with clinical staff).
