Parents, carers and families are key partners in creating a strong school culture and we are extremely committed to working with you.
We understand that some students find school difficult and will work with you to improve their experiences so they can make social and academic progress.
We aim to do this by:
Clear communication: Using newsletters, Arbor app, telephone calls, text messages and the website to keep you updated about key information. We will endeavour to make early contact with you about any concerns that take place during the school day and ask that you contact us with any worries as soon as possible.
Shared expectations: We would like you to share in our vision of how we would like our students to behave and support us with our policies, practice and procedures.
Genuine collaboration: We want to celebrate success together and look forward to working together through meetings, information evenings, parents evenings and Celebration Events.
Supporting the students: We want to work together when students find school difficult and know that involving parents and carers in planning is essential.
How can you support us?
Ask your child about their learning taking an interest in their homework and any books they are reading
Talk to your child about their successes and any behaviour concerns that arise
Support our processes, practices and policies
Encourage your child to attend school every day so that they arrive on time and are ready to learn
Support your child to take part in extracurricular activities in and out of school.
Share any worries about your child's well being early on so that we can work together to support them
