Students that do not follow the Social and Lesson Routines are reminded through the Consequence System that uses a series of warnings to remind the students that their behaviour is not in line with the Routines. These reminders alongside the use of praise, positive reinforcement and the Virtue System helps the students to make positive choices.
The consequence system is not about punishment, it is about creating certainty, calmness and a chance for students to correct behaviour.
Promotes fairness and consistency
Gives a clear signal that behaviour is not meeting expectations
Gives students a chance to modify their behaviours
Protects learning time and keeps routines predictable
Follows a clear stepped warning system
C1 - First formal verbal warning. The student is made aware of the warning and given advice on how to modify the behaviours.
C2 - Second formal warning. The student is made aware of the warning and given advice on how to modify the behaviours. This is recorded on Arbor.
C3 - Third formal warning. The student is sent out of the lesson to R3 and an after school same day reflection session is issued. This is recorded on Arbor.
C4 - High level incident including behaviour that challenge that results in a upper level behaviour response, e.g Internal Suspension, Internal External Suspension (suspension to another school) or suspension to home. This is recorded on Arbor and additional contact home is made.
