Habitat for Humanity Cyclathon
Habitat for Humanity Cyclathon is an annual 25-hour, student-run fundraiser which aims to raise funds in order to replace informal housing with properly built houses within underprivileged areas in South Africa. In order to achieve this objective, hourly raffles will take place where you can stand the chance to win amazing prizes while live performers entertain the crowds. The BRIC Committee is made up of learners from Rustenburg Girls’ High School, Bishops Diocesan College, Westerford High School, Herschel Girls’ High School, Springfield Convent and Rondebosch Boys’ High School. Springfield Interact members will be assisting in selling raffle tickets and there will be an opportunity for the public to sign up for cycling slots, purchase raffle tickets and to enjoy the atmosphere. The event will take place on the 7th to the 8th of February at the amphitheatre at the V&A Waterfront and will definitely be worth coming to! This event needs the support of schools and people in the community so bring your friends and family for an incredibly fun time!
Some prizes are still needed for the hourly raffles, so if any parents are able to make any donations that would greatly be appreciated. If so, please contact Claire Campbell (082 098 4144 via Whatsapp or ccampbell@mysfc.co.za) or Ali Cotterell (060 731 3111 via Whatsapp or acotterell@mysfc.co.za).

Thank you to Belgotex
We are so excited to have been given the opportunity by Belgotex to play Indoor Hockey on a fabulous surface at Springfield. Belgotex has loaned us the flooring for the indoor season. Since the day the flooring was laid, both the Junior and Senior schools have enjoyed many hours of indoor hockey on the tennis courts. The surface is for multi-use and we are hoping to play both Tennis and Netball on it into the future. We are appreciative the opportunity that Belgotex has afforded us. Hopefully we can secure flooring like this in years to come.
