THE PINK SLIP
Should your daughter be ill and unable to attend school, please use the absentee facility on the d6 + under resources or telephone the Secretaries’ office before 09:00 and upon her return to school send a note via the office. Should your daughter have an unavoidable appointment during school hours, kindly send a signed note to the office at the beginning of the day, also for their attention. Parents are requested to collect the girls from the school office on such occasions and a Permission Slip should be obtained from the Secretaries and handed to the Security Guard on duty on your way out. Building Update
As pupils return today they were greeted by hoardings on the avenue and around the tuckshop and adjoining areas. This is the continuation of our building projects which began with the Consumer Studies room (Now almost complete - more news on that to follow). Two new projects are to be tackled this year. The first is the tuckshop area, hoardings have gone up in the region and the passage behind room 10 (and stairs up to room 8 and NS) will be closed off. This project will take up until May.
At the same time the works on the outside parts of the Avenue stairs and maths classrooms will begin. The entrance to the study hall passage will be closed and access to Maths, room 21 and the staff room will have to be via different routes. Only the exterior parts of the project will happen in the first part of the year, the interior of the Maths block will be done once the tuckshop project is complete.
No work will happen during exam time and the plan is to be finished major work by the end of term 3. Pupils are asked to exercise caution when moving around these areas and ensure they do not enter the building area.
2020 Car discs:
For security purposes the car parking disc will change at the start of each year. Families will be issued with one free disc. Further discs may be purchased from the secretarie's offices at the cost of R10 each.
