How to submit BY APRIL 23rd
Students in grades K-12 are invited to respond artistically to this quote with creative submissions such as: drawings, paintings, sculpture, digital art, photography, posters, or through a written essay or poem.
Art /projects will be submitted to the student's school.
Individual schools will select a small group of entries that best represent their school in illustrating this year's theme & quote. The selected submissions will be displayed at the Young Artists Gallery adjacent to the Springfield Public Library, during the month of May.
Spanish entries are welcome.
Please complete and attach a label with the student's full name, school, teacher’s name and grade.
Students whose art is selected for gallery display will be awarded a high-quality book.
Group projects will be recognized collectively with a classroom book set.
School Staff: All qualifying entries can be sent to Hamlin Middle School between April 20th to the 23rd, to the attention of Paola Faught.
WHOLE CLASS PROJECTS - Please be sure to include a class list with the names of all participating students.

Como entregar los proyectos antes del 23 de abril
Se invita a los estudiantes de los grados K-12 a responder artísticamente a esta cita con presentaciones creativas como: dibujos, pinturas, esculturas, arte digital, fotografías, carteles o mediante un ensayo escrito o un poema.
Los proyectos artísticos se enviarán a la escuela del alumno.
Cada escuela seleccionará un pequeño grupo de obras que mejor representen al tema / la cita de este año. Las obras seleccionadas se expondrán en la Galería de Jóvenes Artistas, situada junto a la Biblioteca Pública de Springfield, durante el mes de mayo.
Los proyectos en español son bienvenidos.
Complete y adjunte una etiqueta con el nombre completo del estudiante, la escuela, el nombre del maestro y el grado.
Los alumnos cuyos obras artisticos sean seleccionados para la galaria recibirán un libro de alta calidad.
Los proyectos grupales serán reconocidos colectivamente con un juego de libros para el aula.
Personal escolar: Los proyectos seleccionados se deben entregarse en la secundaria Hamlin Middle School, a la atención de: Paola Faught entre el 20 - 23 de Abril

During the MAY Friday Art Walk in downtown Springfield, a reception will be held highlighting the students' art work. In addition, members of our community will be recognized with social justice awards.

Durante el Caminata de Arte de MAYO en el centro de Springfield, se celebrará una recepción en la que se destacarán las obras de arte de los estudiantes. Además, se reconocerá a unos miembros de nuestra comunidad con premios a la justicia social.
Horario: Viernes, 8 de mayo, de 5 - 7:30pm
Lugar: Ayuntamiento, junto a la Galería de Jóvenes Artistas y la biblioteca de Springfield
