In recognition of Dolores Huerta and César Chávez’ legacy of service and civil rights activism, nominations are now being accepted for:
Parent Service Nominee: Must have a student enrolled in the Springfield School District, and must be actively involved in the development, education, and/or cultural advancement of students in Springfield Public Schools.
Student Service Nominee: Must be a student in the Springfield School District who demonstrates positive character by sticking up for the rights of others and inspiring others to advocate for fairness.
SAfER Human Rights Award: A person who lives and/or works in Springfield and is actively involved in social justice issues, as an individual or as a member of an organization.
Through personal commitment and action in support of equality and respect, all nominees should exemplify the spirit of Dolores Huerta and César Chávez.
