CAASA’s Mission Is to Heal the Wounds of Sexual Assault & Abuse. At the Center Against Abuse and Sexual Assault (CAASA), we believe that every survivor of sexual violence deserves to heal and thrive.

Provides services to victims and survivors of sexual assault. All services are free and confidential to all men, women, and children. Services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

Services include a 24 hour hotline, crisis counseling and advocacy, ongoing counseling and support groups, shelter,  medical and legal advocacy,  school outreach and violence prevention programs, community education and information programs, and professional education.  

Children & Families of Iowa (CFI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families throughout Iowa. Headquartered in Des Moines with offices in Ankeny, Fort Dodge, Osceola and Ottumwa, CFI provides services, such as: domestic violence prevention and intervention, teen programs, family support, early childhood development, mental health and substance abuse. 

If you are in an emergency situation, please call 911 immediately. For those needing shelter from a domestic violence situation in the next 24-48 hours, please call 515.243.6147. Standard messages will be addressed Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. as staff are available to respond.   

The Rape Victim Advocacy Program (RVAP) is a department within the Division of Student Life at The University of Iowa. RVAP is a sexual assault victim advocate and prevention agency. 

If you are a Clay County resident, please call the Iowa Victim Service Call Center. Offices are open 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday except for holidays recognized by the University of Iowa. Crisis lines are available 24 hours. 

Child or Dependent Adult Abuse hotline for reporting any suspected abuse (800-362-2178).

The goal of the Elder Rights Program is to address and focus on prevention, intervention, detection and reporting elder abuse, neglect and exploitation by presenting the senior consumer with options to enhance and protect their life and independence.

Legal Assistance can offer you legal advice, counseling, or representation on elder rights issues.
