Special Olympics MA is offering scheduled games and a state tournament for the 2026 season. Teams must participate in their scheduled games in order to advance on to the state tournament at The Governor's Academy.
Teams ages 16+ will play 7v7
Teams ages 8-15 will play 5v5
Team Intents due by July 13th
Schedules posted First week of August
To create divisions and to avoid having teams play the same teams again at the state tournament (to best or our ability), teams will play a multitude of games verse a variety of different teams of similar ability. All results will be used to create competitive divisions for State Tournament. Click on the links below to see additional details regarding each location, including dates, schedules, and results.

Special Olympics Massachusetts will be strictly enforcing the following policy for team sports where community play is offered:
Any team that commits to league/community play and is assigned a venue/schedule, but drops out under 5 days notice of scheduled games, will not be eligible:
To receive season ending awards
To advance onto the next level of competition, i.e. state games
Will not be eligible for consideration for USA Games or World Games if it is a qualifying year for those events
What do you do if you don't have enough to field a team but do have players that want to play?
DO NOT CANCEL, SHOW UP WITH THOSE THAT CAN PLAY. You will take a forfeit, but we will combine teams and play a friendly match/game, so those on both teams that want to play get the opportunity to play. By doing this you are still executing the mission of Special Olympics and allowing athletes to compete. As an benefit for those that do show up, they will still be working on improving their skills and physical fitness

Event Information
Lunches from the Governors Academy will be provided for all registered teams and coaches.
Lunches will contain a turkey and cheese sandwich, an apple, a capri sun, and a bag of chips
Fat Belly BBQ, Met'z Cantina, and Whoopie Wagon will be on site and will have food available for purchase
