Mrs. Niamh Grano is a current Sparta Board of Education member, the current Vice President of the board, and is running for a three year term
She is currently employed as a Senior Communications Manager for Stryker, a multi national medical technologies corporation
Prior to Grano's BOE work she is the former president of the Alpine School's PTO for three years and the Co-Vice President for two years
In addition she was also the Co-President of Mohawk Avenue's PTO and Co-Secretary
Grano has been a lifelong resident of Sparta, New Jersey, and hopes to provide experience and consistency to the Board
Mrs. Jennifer Miller is a current Sparta Board of Education Trustee who is running for a three-year term.
Her daughter, Olivia, is currently enrolled in the Alpine Elementary School.
Miller has been in the field of education for the past 20 years

She is the 2007 recipient of the Sussex County "Inspiring Teacher Award."
Miller has been in Sparta for a long time, even graduating from the Pope John High School.
Graduating from Clemson University in South Carolina, Miller graduated with her BA in Secondary Education-English.
She later received her MA in Education Leadership, Management, and Policy from Seton Hall.
Mr. McKernan is a current Sparta Board of Education Trustee who is running for a three-year-term
He is the President of American Mobile Glass, where his responsibilities include developing policies and procedures, maintaining financial reports and budgets, and coordinating employee relations
McKernan graduated with an Economics degree from the University of Delaware
He has coached Upward and PAL basketball, Sparta "rec." baseball, Cyclones Travel Baseball, and Sparta Youth Football.
He is the president of a local golf league
Has donated time and money to many organizations including: Sparta Benevolent Society, Sparta Education Foundation, Sparta Youth Football, Sparta Ecumenical Council, Our Lady of the Lake Church, and Sparta High School Football.
Providing Sparta's students with the best education possible is at the forefront of his decision making.
Represent the interests of the community and to serve as communicators between the community and the school district.
Listen to all citizens.
Support the efforts of the Superintendent and the administration to make the best possible decisions for the district’s stakeholders but with the students’ interests in the forefront.
Be informed Board members who asks questions and also listen.
Assist in providing students with the best education.
