Progress Monitoring
Progress monitoring is the ongoing, frequent collection and use of formal data in order to (1) assess students’ performance, (2) quantify a student's rate of improvement or responsiveness to instruction or intervention, and (3) evaluate the effectiveness of instruction and intervention.
A student participating in Tier 2 or Tier 3 intervention should be progressed monitored throughout the intervention cycles. Students receiving Tier 2 interventions should be progress monitored bi-weekly. Those students receiving Tier 3 interventions should be progress monitored weekly.
Documenting the Progress
All progress monitoring data will be entered into the Panorama Platform. Instructional Coaches and Teachers will work together to select the appropriate intervention for those students. Groups will be formed in Panorama. A goal will be assigned for each group. Progress Monitoring data will be entered weekly or bi-weekly depending on the Tier.

Progress monitoring data will be reviewed during data meetings at the end of each cycle to determine next steps. It will also be a required piece of document when making a Special Education Referral.
