During our interview with Dr. Charina Villena (Adviser), Dr. Glicerio Lorenzo P. Zamora III (President), and Dra. Rosa Angela D. Delos Santos (Vice President), the members of the Muntinlupa City Medical Society, we gained valuable insights into their commitment to community health and youth involvement. They emphasized the importance of empowering students and teachers to become active participants in promoting health, cleanliness, and overall well-being within their communities.
The discussion highlighted how collaboration plays an important role in advancing community health initiatives. Through programs like the Bulilit and Teen Health Workers, students are given the opportunity to actively contribute to promoting health awareness and environmental care. By working together with medical professionals, educators, and partner organizations, we can strengthen awareness and encourage responsible actions toward health and environmental care. The interview also emphasized the importance of shared responsibility, where each sector contributes its knowledge and efforts to support programs that benefit the community.
Guided by the theme this year: “Contribute and Unite,” this initiative highlights the power of collective effort. By contributing our knowledge, skills, and time, and by uniting different sectors of society, we can create a stronger, healthier community. The insights shared by the members of the Muntinlupa City Medical Society remind us that meaningful change is possible when individuals come together with a shared purpose and commitment to serve others.
