The Muntinlupa City Bulilit and Teen Healthworkers (BTHW) Foundation is a youth organization committed to empowering the younger generation to become future leaders in the medical and professional fields. The foundation aims to prepare young individuals to face real-world challenges by providing opportunities that nurture their interest in healthcare and community service.
Through various programs, activities, and events organized in collaboration with the Philippine Medical Association, the BTHW Foundation introduces its members to the world of medicine at an early age. These experiences allow young people to explore the healthcare profession, develop essential skills, and cultivate a sense of responsibility towards community health. By fostering early exposure and meaningful engagement in health-related initiatives, the BTHW Foundation aspires to inspire the next generation of compassionate and capable healthcare professionals.
On its 38th year, the Bulilit and Teen Healthworkers foundation continue to assist selected communities in their development towards self-reliance in health and related fields. They provide skills in application of Pediatrics in community setting, which was Introduced by 1st Year CMCP Residents. Dr. Fe Del Mundo founded the Community Pediatric Society of the Philippines in 1994. This child-to-child program was conceptualized, training school children who have the enthusiasm to learn about health.
Activities such as the Bulilit health workers training, BHW singing their Bulilit theme song, Residents composed songs containing S/Sx (Sign and Symptoms) of diseases Demonstration of first aid application: batang nabalian, and the official presentation to the officers of Community Pediatric Society of the Philippines in Liliw, Laguna marked the first events documented for a year that is transformative and aimed at excelling for the greater good of the people.
