What goals/ideas do you have for HOSA this upcoming school year?
I definitely want to have more HOSA events that get people more enthusiastic to get involved. I also want to increase advertising of HOSA to all the grades so we get more visibility and more students want to join. I think we would also benefit with more mock competitions or information sessions for each individual event because I feel like there is so much information that it is hard to tell what you need to know.
I feel that I am qualified for this position because… I have numerous experiences planning events with healthcare professionals and know a lot about getting high schoolers for them. In my first year of HOSA I placed high in a difficult presentation event and I understand what is successful in these events because I’ve seen a lot of other HOSA projects and competitors that win. Additionally, I have a strong passion for healthcare that I have used to get myself internships and shadowing opportunities and I am sure I will be able to help others do that as well. Along with all of these things, I am a hardworking and motivated person who enjoys taking initiative to bring people together and help them grow as well as finding ways to do that myself, all qualities that I believe qualify me for this position
