I have been a HOSA member for 2 full years now

Have you competed in HOSA?  If yes, please list the event and how far you advanced (each year).

Sophomore year I was a finalist at area for medical innovation 

Junior year I was a finalist at state for creative problem solving 

Did you attend  all HOSA meetings this past year? If no, please explain.

In my tenure in HOSA, I have attended most meetings, with any absences (such as the introductory one this year) communicated well before and with proper reasoning (for example, I was at CMA being a mentor) - for any meeting I was not at, I always look at the slides if provided and I make sure to ask a peer what we did.

Member of Carroll Dragon Varsity Marching band  (part of the leadership crew - loading)

Member of Mu Alpha Theta club

Member of Red Cross Club with a leadership role in the Youth Intake Program 

What goals/ideas do you have for HOSA this upcoming school year?

I hope to help foster more practices year long so that students feel more prepared well before the time of their test or event

I also would like to start a mentorship program of some sort where young members doing a certain event can have the opportunity to meet with upperclassmen in an organized fashion in order to learn more about their test and how it works

I feel that I am qualified for this position because…

I feel that I am qualified for this position because I am very strong in my knowledge of science, and I am able to apply this knowledge to help others in their endeavors. In addition, I am a prioritizer of others before myself, and I would like to see the district as a whole succeed far more than my individual aspirations. Through my extensive leadership experience and qualities paired with my ability to perform well in HOSA and science in general, I believe I am the perfect candidate.
