What goals/ideas do you have for HOSA this upcoming school year?
I want to organize and create more meetings before the Area and State competitions to better prepare students for their events, in order to increase the number of people who qualify for Area and State competitions. This would include peer mentoring for new members, practice exams, and demo roleplays in preparation for competitions. I also want to incorporate more service events, as I have participated in events like Be The Match, and have seen firsthand its impact of our organization’s growth and development. I would also like to explore potentially offering internships to upperclassmen who have been active members of the organization. Additionally, I have found that many people do not know about HOSA, so I would also like to advertise the club so it can have participation numbers similar to BPA and DECA. Finally, I would like to coordinate more events that expose members to careers in the health industry, such as visits to local hospitals that illustrate the daily routine of a doctor. My ultimate goal for the next school year is to increase participation and the amount of success our chapter sees.
I feel that I am qualified for this position because…
I believe I am highly suited for the position of vice president because of my extensive experience, proven leadership skills, and commitment to HOSA’s mission. Through my involvement in organizations like Carroll Medical Academy, along with various internships and volunteer initiatives, I’ve developed strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, These experiences have helped me become someone who can lead the club, communicate effectively with my peers and officers, and support members as they prepare for competitions. Furthermore, I am highly motivated and organized, capable of balancing multiple extracurriculars while maintaining consistent attendance and active participation in HOSA. I pride myself on being approachable, patient, and willing to listen to all ideas, allowing me to hear multiple perspectives that differ from my own. I am also motivated to implement the initiatives I’ve proposed to strengthen engagement and elevate the success of our chapter. Above all, I believe I am qualified for this position because I am deeply passionate about healthcare and want to lead this chapter and give back to a community I have gained much from. I am ready to support the President and the officer team with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a strategic mindset. I’m confident that my dedication and broad skill set will make me an invaluable asset to our chapter as the Vice President.
