The Differences and Similarities of the Boiuna
Have you ever heard of the boiuna, and if not, we will talk about the similarities and we will talk about the differences that I changed in my story. The boiuna is from Brazilian folklore, and we will talk about the similarities and differences that I changed, and we will talk about the boiuna from my story from the folklore. The points that we will talk about are the similarities and the differences. The similarities I have retained are that it still protects the rainforest, and the differences I have made are that it does not harm people.
The similarities that I have kept are that it can still shapeshift and is still the protector of the rainforest. The evidence that the similarities are that it can transform into a woman, and you see this when in my story i wrote “The boiuna transformed into a woman,” and in the original it says “she walks the banks of the river as the woman in black.” This evidence shows their similarities because both can transform into a woman, and they live in the rainforest.
The changes that I made were that instead of hurting people, the boiuna led them away or protected them from danger. You can see this when it says, “I ain't here to hurt you, I just wanted to say you are hurting the forest,” the website “A Book Of Creatures” it says how it would transform into a sunken ship to test people greed and if they went for ir it would sink them to the bottom.” in my story it shows how they are hurting the forest. The monster tells them to stop but in the original myth it talks about how it transforms into a sucking ship with gold and the people that are hurt the forest. If they see it and they go for it, it drags them down to the bottom for hurting the forest.
These are the similarities and I have kept is that it can transform into a woman and differences that i have mad was instead of hurting people i would help them get to safety that I have kept and changed about the biouna, and the theme that I was trying to show is that protecting nature can have a positive effect, and this applies to the real world because people can start random wildfires and people like to throw trash in the the forest and animals can die from it.

The mysteries of the rain forest
My sisters and I were walking to the forest to go home, but it was getting late, so we decided to stay the night. They made a campfire to generate some heat.
They were breaking branches off the tree, and the monster felt a pain on the side of his head, he was wondering what was happening to the rainforest, so he went to check it out, and he saw the sisters and what they were doing to the branches the snake wanted to tell them something, but he just waited to see what happens.
The sisters noticed the ground start to shake, and they asked, “What is going on?” The campfire kept going out, and every time they tried to start it back up again, it kept doing the same thing. Odilia is the first to see it, but she thinks that she is tired, so she brushes it off and goes to sleep. The sisters woke up in the middle of the night, and Pita started to scream. She said, “LOOK!” and the sisters looked, and all they saw was a big pair of red eyes. They saw them, they all got up and got the sticks from the campfire, and they pointed the burning sticks at it. The monster let out a blood-curdling scream, and the sisters looked at the snake, preparing themselves.
The boiuna transformed into a woman and said, “Oh, I ain't here to hurt you, I just wanted to say you're hurting the forest and ask you to please stop.” The sisters didn't believe it,
so Delia said, “Why should we listen to you!?” and they all attacked it, so the snake transformed back into its original form. It got ready to attack, but then remembered that it was like them once, so it didn’t attack and let the girls attack it. While the girls were attacking it, all it could think about was how, when it was a little girl, she used to love the forest until one day a fire burned down the forest. She swore to find whoever started that fire and bring them to where it happened, but then she was back to reality because one of them smacked it on the side of the head, and it started to make the forest help the boiuna, and the girls got branches tied to their feet. The monster said “STOP!” and then the girls realized that it wasn't attacking them.
The girls saw that they had made a mistake, and they realized that she was the protector of the rainforest, so they told the monster, “We are so sorry!” and the boiuna said it was fine, and the girls asked, “Is there anything that they could do?” The monster said, “Let's talk about nature and I will tell you my story,” and after the monster told the girls the story, the girls asked, "Have you found whoever started it?” She shook her head, and the girls said, “We will help you if you want.” The monster said, “It's fine”.
The sisters bagged up the monster, and they started to walk to where the boat was. When they went, the snake went with them to protect them from any monster that might be trying to get them, and the sisters said bye to the snake and the snake transformed and waved bye and then went back into the forest, and she kept looking for the person who started the fire, and the girls went to the other side of the river.
