Yoga Poses for Cool Down

Please practice these yoga postures in a safe and open environment with your child.

While moving through these positions you can listen to soothing, instrumental music.

Downward Dog


From an all fours position on the floor, walk your hands forward. Push through your toes and lift your knees off the mat.

Encourage your child to look at their knees and belly button, pedaling their feet back and forth.

Try to maintain the position for 5 breaths.

Child's Pose

From downward dog position, lower your knees and head to the floor, as you bring your bottom over your feet. If needed bring your knees wide.

Wind Relieving

From child's pose, roll onto your back. Bring your knees in towards your chest and hug your lower leg.

Rock side to side.

Try to maintain the position for 5 breaths.

Happy Baby

From wind relieving pose, reach up for the inside if your feet, while pointing your thumbs down. Keep your back on the floor and hug your legs towards your chest.
