Circle meetings are held in the East near an Mrt on the East-West line. We meet on the second Wednesdays of each month.
Circle is about providing emotional support, helping her to finish her beauty specialist course and to help her perform in public in mid 2023. She would appreciate volunteers to take her 17-year old son out for swimming and other activities too.

Background
Megan is a civil servant working in a government agency. She is also a caregiver to her son, Alvin who is 17 this year. Alvin studies in a special school in Siglap. Alvin is non-verbal and does not speak. Her husband freelances as a music teacher, music and video producer and band leader. Alvin is left to the care of his grandparents who are retired teachers. Megan is worried about Alvin's social and intellectual development. Megan is currently pursuing a paper qualification in beauty studies. She enjoys performing in live musical performances. They live in the East of Singapore.

Immediate needs
1. Caregiver is struggling to cope with her mental and emotional health issues, while being the sole breadwinner of the household. She needs someone reliable to take care of her son as her in-laws are getting old and her husband is unable to take care of their son. Befrienders who would like to be her extended family and journey with her are welcome to support her.
2. Caregiver is looking for a volunteer/paid volunteer to spend time with her 17-year old son in any of the 3 swimming pools at Bedok HeartBeat Swimming complex (level 4) for a minimum of 30 minutes at $10 for the 30 minutes. Total time spent in the pool could be up to 1 hour. (No need already as she has successfully enrolled him in the ActiveSG Para Academy by paying S$26 for 8 sessions.)
3. Caregiver is looking for at least 20 models as practice case studies for her beauty specialist course. The models will be asked to go to Beauty Forever Learning Hub Pte. Ltd. on Sunday afternoons from 2pm to 6pm at Fu Lu Shou Complex near Bugis Mrt. There are 6 different services for the practice sessions that the models can choose from: facial, make-up, manicure, pedicure, waxing lower leg and waxing armpit. 1. Caregiver is looking for models to practise her beauty specialist course in preparation for her case studies
2. Caregiver needs to do her own studies on her own. She uses highlighters on her notes because she is a visual person, to help her remember better.
3. She and her husband are recording a few albums. Her desire is to perform in one year's time. She loves performing.
4. To make the best use of our time during circle meetings, we can give Caregiver emotional support. We aim to be sensitive and don’t add stress. Sensitivity is a real need. One of the biggest needs is the need to be heard, seen, held, and felt.
