For Year 4 pupils who need a bit more clarity and confidence in maths

Who's this for?

This group is for children who:

• are finding parts of maths tricky

• are starting to lose confidence

• can do it sometimes... but it doesn't always stick

• need things explaining in a simpler way

What I focus on

I don't rush through lots of work.

I focus on:

• identifying gaps early

• explaining things more clearly

• making sure it actually makes sense

At this stage, small gaps can quickly become bigger ones so getting the basics right makes a big difference. 

How sessions work:

• Small groups (so every child gets attention)

• Calm, relaxed environment

• Focus on understanding not just answers

Sessions are designed to build confidence while improving understanding.
