Student Login with Clever Backup Codes

If a student loses their Clever badge, any teacher can quickly generate a temporary backup code, which the affected students can use to login until a new badge is provided.

1) First, generate the code

Step 1:

1: On your Clever portal, open your class and click on the student needing a backup code

Step 2:

A code will be generated. Share this with the student. Note that this code is temporary and it will only last while the student is logged in.

2) Have the student log in with backup code

Step 1:

At the QR scanning screen, wait a few seconds until the blue "Log in" button shows up on the lower right corner. Have the student click on it.

Step 2:

2: at the following screen, have the student click on "Get help logging in!" link.

Step 3:

Have the student click on "Students: Log in with backup code"

Step 4:

Have the student type the backup code into this screen., then press "log in". Done!
