Energy Transformations
The conversion of energy from one process to another is known as an energy transition. Every second of the day, energy transformations take place all over the world. Electrical, thermal, nuclear, electronic, electromagnetic, vibration, and chemical energy are only a few examples. Since the law of conservation of energy states that energy in the universe is always conserved and simply changes forms, several energy transformations occur on a regular basis.

Examples of various forms of energy
Conversion of the potential energy of water stored in a dam into electrical energy:
Potential energy exists in the water contained in a dam. This potential energy is transformed into kinetic energy as waterfalls. The kinetic energy of water is used to drive turbines in a hydroelectric power station. Electric generators are attached to the turbines. As a result, electrical energy is produced.
Conversion of chemical energy into electrical energy:
Electrical energy is transformed into chemical energy when a battery is charged. The chemical energy contained in the battery is associated in an electrical circuit, where it is converted to electrical energy and a current flows.
Conversion of chemical energy into other forms of energy:
Chemical energy exists in the explosive mixture in a bomb. When the bomb detonates, the chemical energy is transformed into kinetic energy, heat, light, sound, and other forms.
