What is work?
Work is described as the transfer of energy. Work is achieved on an object when energy is transferred to it, according to physics. When one object moves (gives) energy to another, the first object performs work on the latter. The application of a force over a distance is known as work.
We can calculate work by multiplying the force by the movement of the object.
W = Force x displacement = F x d
The SI unit of work is the joule (J)
What is Energy?
Energy can be defined as the capacity for doing work.
There are two types of energy in many forms:
Kinetic Energy = Energy of Motion
Potential Energy = Stored Energy
The SI unit of energy is joules (J), which is named in honor of James Prescott Joule.
