Mrs. Otsuka has degrees in Environmental Science, Military Public Health, and American Sign Language. She has a multiple subject teaching credential with authorizations in mathematics, biological science and introductory science. She has a single subject credential in American Sign Language and is a certified educational interpreter. Prior to working in education, Mrs. Otsuka worked in scientific laboratories and has significant experience with research; physical, chemical, and microbiological analyses; and legal regulations related to laboratory analysis. 2024-2025 is her fifth year at Heritage and she is very happy to be here! Mrs. Otsuka (sounds like "Oats-ka") has been married for 25 years. Her husband is a retired limnologist from a major water utility. He has a degree in Social Ecology. She is also the proud mother of two boys. Her older son is in law school and hopes to work to improve social justice issues. Her younger son is a senior in college majoring in mathematics. In their spare time, the Otsuka family likes to go to escape rooms. Mrs. Otsuka is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force Reserve and of the California State Guard.
