After a successful first school year, MHHS is excited to continue offering Dual Enrollment opportunities with Cal State San Marcos!
The following MHHS courses simultaneously earn credit at CSUSM for '26-'27:
1) Cybersecurity
2) English 9, with the Context of Mental Health
3) Ethnic Studies
4) Peer Counseling 2
These courses cover college-level material and they are year-long.
The courses are co-taught by both an MHHS teacher and a CSUSM professor.
These classes are held on the MHHS campus, as part of the regular school day.
Students will earn credits at MHHS and CSUSM simultaneously. Credit is awarded each semester. These grades are permanent on both transcripts.
The grade earned will be weighted on the MHHS transcript (extra point on the GPA, similar to an AP course).
The student/family do NOT pay anything to enroll in this class (or any other Dual Enrollment class).
If a student drops the class once the semester has begun, the drop/withdraw deadlines set by CSUSM would apply.
Students will need complete an application to CSUSM. After students have finished selecting courses for the 2026-27 school year, MHHS will reach out to students/families will the next steps.
