I will be entering my 8th year of teaching this year.  I graduated my CSUSM with a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies & a Master's Degree in Education. I began my teaching career in various districts working as a regular substitute teacher & a long term sub.  In 2018 I started full time as one of the newest kindergarten teachers at La Mirada Academy.  I have taught various grade levels from Kindergarten, 1st Grade & 2nd Grade.  This is my 1st official year at Double Peak School & I am so excited to be teaching 3rd Grade!   

                 My Teaching Philosophy

Teaching has always been my passion & making a difference in the life of a child is everything. I always aspire to create a safe, welcoming, & inviting classroom for each & every student that enters my room. As a child I started school not knowing a word of English, & as a teacher I have always resonated with students who come from different cultural backgrounds.  I always want my classroom to be a safe place where students can be themselves.   I always want learning to be FUN & it is okay to make mistakes, because that is how we LEARN! In this class we are a class family, the students, the parents & the teacher.  Together as a whole, we are a TEAM. We can work together to reach your child's highest potential.
