Hello and welcome to Third Grade! 

I’m Mrs. McClymonds, and it’s my pleasure to welcome your child to our class this year! I have been teaching for over 25 years in a variety of schools and settings, including four years in Hawaii and two years in Switzerland! For the past three years, I have had the wonderful opportunity to serve as STEAM teacher on Special Assignment for students in Kindergarten through Sixth Grade.

 My experiences have given me a love for innovative ways of learning and a deep appreciation for our beautiful world.  I am a true science lover, and hope to bring my curiosity, enthusiasm, and love of learning into our classroom each day! I look forward to creating a classroom where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring new ideas, taking risks, and discovering the joy of learning.

Outside of school, I love spending time outdoors with my husband, two adult sons, or friends. We enjoy hiking, biking, traveling, reading, or relaxing at the beach. This summer we took an incredible adventure around England, Ireland, Scotland and France, and  I can't wait to share some of my favorite experiences with my new class!

 I am looking forward to getting to know my class and working together to make this a successful year of wonder and growth for your child.  I can't wait to meet you soon!
