Any Junior, (11th grade student), may enroll for IB dance. 

NO DANCE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. 

IB Dance is a two year program. Students are required to choreograph, perform and conduct dance research. Students may choose SL Dance or HL Dance.

Students will learn basic ballet technique, modern dance, jazz dance and social dance techniques to help the dancers improve their performance, strength, balance, coordination and rhythm.

Students will:

• gain problem solving skills

• build cooperative skills and learn teamwork

• develop coordination and rhythm

• gain confidence through performance and teaching

• develop muscle strength and flexibility

• learn multiple forms of dance genres

• have the opportunity to perform and choreograph for the Fall and Spring Dance Concerts as a soloist or within a group or duet
