The heart and sould of the middle school is a band program at the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade level. Sixth and seventh graders meet either three or five times per week, and eighth grade band meets every day.   Students are exposed to the fundamentals of instrumental music education while preparing for serveral performances.  All ensembles perform a holiday concert and a spring pops concert, seventh and eighth grade tacks on solo and ensemble festival, seventh grade performs in a music festival at Kings Island, and eighth grade performs at an eighth grade night in the fall with the marching band at one of the home football games, as well as a spring wind band event.
