In this practical and creative elective, students will explore the possibilities of clay as a sculptural and expressive medium. They will learn a range of foundational hand-building techniques including pinch, coil, and slab construction to create imaginative and decorative ceramic pieces. Inspired by the work of contemporary ceramic artists, students will be encouraged to experiment with form, texture, and surface decoration as they develop their own artistic ideas. This subject offers a fun and engaging introduction to working in three dimensions, while building confidence and skills in visual arts practice.
