In order for resellers to be able to sell hotel stays on behalf of Smith Global Ltd, and its associated companies, it is necessary to set up an API-driven integration between the two systems. This document seeks to detail the communications involved and explain to technical parties involved the processes involved therein.
Reseller - The party taking payments and making bookings on behalf of customers
Smith - A generic catch-all name to cover all parts of Smith Global ltd. and their associated companies and staff.
Mr & Mrs Smith (MMS) - A wholly owned subsidiary of Smith Global ltd.
SAMS - A computer system owned by Smith. This contains records of all bookings made by, or on behalf of Smith, and all availability and rates records
Nexus - Smith’s availability searching tool
Hotelier - A member of staff at a hotel affiliated with Smith who has agreed to be represented by Smith through resellers
Sale Price - the net price to the reseller i.e. net for hotel + Smith commission. This also equals the amount Smith will invoice the reseller for
