The flow of operations, from the customer side is to be seamless. As far as the customer is concerned, the booking has been made with the reseller. The only noticeable change is that the booking confirmation will be updated to include some MMS branding. If a line item has been made through an incoming API connection, then no customer confirmation will be sent from our systems, in the case of booking creation or booking cancellation.
Hotelier Logic
The flow of operations from the Hotelier side will appear to be no different than an ordinary booking, with the exception of a few minor details. Hotelier confirmation and cancellation notifications will continue to flow to and from SAMS (our internal hotel extranet), the Hotelier will still be able to log in to SAMS and view their bookings. The addition will be an extra booking reference displayed which will be the reseller reference.
External Interface
The interface between SAMS and the reseller will be through Smith’s RESTful API, already in use through third parties.
