ASSIGNMENT: Students were required to create a landscape that incorporated a background, middle ground and foreground. For the paper, they had to use a combination of ripped and cut (with scissors) paper to create contrasting shapes and a variety of textures.
You can use construction paper, scrapbook paper, magazines or painted paper for this project.
Start by sketching out a plan for their landscape- a simple pencil drawing- and labeling what colors would go where. You can re-create any type of landscape you wish (seascape, cityscape, landscape, etc).
Look through magazines and tear/cut/collected the necessary colors for your landscape. You can use bottle glue or glue stick to glue down your pieces. Start at the sky (background) and work your way down to the bottom.
