Freestanding Structures
As part of our Splendid Structures topic, year 2 learnt how architects design buildings to ensure they have a strong base and are stable so that they can withstand forces during their Design & Technology lessons.
They used a range of different construction kits to explore how they would create their own stable, freestanding structures and they had a lots of fun!
After that, they explored the different attachment techniques!
Then, it was finally time to start building their own stable freestanding structures.Â
