Welcome Class of 2025 Parents and Potential Grads
Research for any pathway after high school is key! Below are some of the resources highlighted in the powerpoint we shared with all potential graduates.
Ontario Universities Website
All 21 Ontario Universities provide information in the website ontariouniversitiesinfo.ca
For Ontario Universities students Need:
30 Credits
20 Hours of Volunteer Service & OSSLT is waived for Class of 2022
SIX Grade 12 U or M level courses (one of which must be ENG4U)
2 Online credits (or opt out form completed)
Depending on the program you may require specific Science or Math credits.
Ontario Universities Application Centre
As a current Gr. 12 Student you are a Group A applicant.
Applications are done online at www.ouac.ca
Application to three Universities or three programs is $156 (maximum is two programs at any one school) Each University or program thereafter is $50
University Application due date is: January 15th, 2025
Your Ontario Education Number (OEN) is required to apply to universities in Ontario. (Please see guidance if you need yours)
Ontario Universities' Fairs
Next event: October 5-6
All Ontario universities will participate in these virtual events.
The events are free and anyone may attend – no pre-registration required.
Each event will be divided up into six 30-minute sessions,where students can learn about the universities of their choice and ask questions.

Application to five Colleges is $150 (maximum of three programs at any one school)
College Application due date is: Feb 1, 2025
NO PIN is required. You will create your own account.
You will require your OEN number to create your account. This is found on your report card(s) and status sheet.
Collaborative / Joint Programs
offer the combination of hands-on learning and theoretical approach
Students may earn either one or two credentials. 1 from College and/or 1 from University
Check to see which application centre to apply for these programs (OUAC, OCAS or both).
Admission requirements are the same as universities (Based on 6 Gr. 12 U or M level courses)
Can I transfer from College to University? YES!!
All publicly funded colleges and universities in Ontario have agreements for transferring credits between programs and institutions.
Over 55,000 students take advantage of these agreements every year.

Community Service Hours
The required number of hours is 40. Please review the parameters around VALID hours here
Current hour totals are available on their status sheet (distributed in Sept)
There may be opportunities for Gr. 12’s on spare to help out with the recycling program, senior tutoring, and other initiatives as well
